2024 FRIENDS OF THE SEMINARY CHAIRS

Michael & Erin Nickler

Mike & Erin Nickler

Mike and Erin Nickler are deeply committed to their family, friends, and Catholic faith. Together, they have raised five children: Mikey (married to Phoebe), Mary, Patrick (married to Quan), Frank, and Alex, and they are proud grandparents of four, with another grandchild on the way, in addition to having 11 Godchildren.

Residing in Melbourne Beach, FL, the Nickler’s have made their home a hub of generosity and faith. Erin moved to Florida 26 years ago to join Mike, her soulmate. She holds a psychology degree from Washington and Jefferson College in Pennsylvania. Mike, a Penn State graduate, enjoyed a distinguished career with Morgan Stanley as a Managing Director and was a long-time member of the Chairman’s Club, consistently recognized by Barron’s as one of the top investment advisors in the country. He retired 5 ½ years ago but, his sons, Patrick and Mikey, continue his legacy with the Nickler Group at Ameriprise.

The Nickler’s have been deeply involved in Cardinal Newman High School, where their youngest son, Alex, attended. Mike played a pivotal role on the Development Board, significantly enhancing the athletics program, while Erin served on the Cardinal Newman Auction Committee for many years. Their contributions earned them recognition as the 2021 honorees at the Cardinal Newman Gala.

While their son Alex attended St. Clare Catholic School in North Palm Beach, Erin chaired the St. Clare Blue and Gold Auction in 2017, and Mike successfully coached the boys’ basketball and baseball teams.

Currently, Alex attends Ave Maria University and plays for the baseball team, a development that has naturally led Mike and Erin to become avid supporters of both the team and the university.

At their former parish, St. John Fisher in West Palm Beach, Mike led the Finance Committee for over a decade, contributing significantly to the church’s financial turnaround and capital improvements. Erin, meanwhile, ran an annual Free Book Fair at St. John Fisher, collecting and distributing thousands of books to children in need.

The Nickler’s have also supported students at St. Columbanus Secondary School in Nigeria for over 20 years and helped build a Marian shrine in the Diocese of Ikpot Ekpene. They are active members of Legatus (Jupiter/Palm Beach and Vero Beach), with Erin serving on the board for three years as both Membership Chair and Program Chair.

Their commitment extends to hosting fundraisers for various Catholic charities at their home and providing respite for priests and graduating seminarians. They support numerous causes including Cardinal Newman High School, Ave Maria University, Little Smiles, Bella Health and Wellness, Men of Melchizedek, St. Paul Center, Catholics Come Home, Catholic Charities, Cross Catholic Outreach, Students for Life, and the Sisters of Mary.

Mike and Erin are honored to be this year’s chairs for the St. Vincent de Paul Regional Seminary’s Friends Gala, reflecting their ongoing dedication to the future of the Catholic Church in the Southeast.
