Bringing Christ's Healing to Peru

Dr. Anthony Kunnumpurath, an Internal Medicine-Pediatrics physician and seminarian in Configuration II  from the Diocese of St. Thomas Syro-Malabar in Chicago is serving with Mission Doctors at Santa Clotilde Centro de Salud in northeastern Peru, providing much-needed medical care in both inpatient hospital and outpatient clinic tropical medicine settings.

Dr. Anthony's dual vocation of healing and spiritual guidance truly embodies Christ's call to serve both the physical and spiritual needs of our brothers and sisters around the world. Celebrating the Sacraments

First Baptisms

During the summer, our newly ordained transitional deacons have the special opportunity to exercise their new ministry back home in their parishes. Here is a glimpse into the memorable moments Deacons Jacob Gwynn (Diocese of Venice, FL) and Jude Okeke (Diocese of Palm Beach) celebrated the Sacrament of Baptism for the very first time!

Uniting Families in Faith

While on Summer break, Fr. Alfredo Hernández, Rector/President, took a heartfelt detour from his life at the Seminary to reconnect with friends and family. He began by traveling to California to officiate the wedding of Jorge Dominicis and Haley Rivera, uniting the two families in love. The celebrations then continued here in Florida with the baptism of his great nephew, joyfully welcoming him into the Catholic Church. These two events brought great joy and elation to his extended family.

Where in the World are They?

Seminarians participating in the language immersion programs are spending thier summers in these beautiful countries as a way to fully immerse themselves in the beauty and fulness of the Spanish language and culture.

Greetings from Guatemala!

This summer, a group of seminarians spent 8 weeks in Guatemala, where they encountered deeply rooted traditions of faith, history, and culture. Perhaps the most memorable highlight of their trip was celebrating Mass in Santiago Atitlan in the room where Blessed Stanley Rother was martyred in 1981.

Saludos from Spain!

While in Spain for the language immersion program, seminarians from the Diocese of Pensacola-Tallahassee had the unique opportunity to reconnect with

Dr. Antonio Balsón, SVDP's Language Department Director, outside the classroom and in his native country- experiencing both the vibrant culture and a more personal side of their professor.
